Causes & Colors

Who determines ribbon colors?

Ribbon colors are determined by nationally recognized, non-profit organizations that provide support, education, and awareness for individual causes.  Often times, a specific cause is associated with a specific color.  At other times, organizations choose their own color.  At BeCause Awareness Ribbons, we believe that each story is unique, so choose the ribbon color that's right for you.  Here is a list of commonly known causes, colors, and awareness month or day if applicable.  You may also want to consider the birth stone or favorite color of your loved one.

While we do our best to include all causes, if you find one missing from our list, please let us know.
